" Cumberbatch - the newspaper The Guardian, - proved to be excellent in the role of eccentric , brilliant men , and his Holmes is cold , with a technical mindset and a mild form of Asperger's ," [18]. Cumberbatch commented: "His [ Holmes ] is very difficult to play , as due to the amount of words in your head and thinking speed falls incredibly to think quickly . He's one step ahead of the audience and all the people with normal intelligence who surround him . They do not really understand where he lead his conjectures "[18] . TV producer Piers Wenger called serial Sherlock modern superhero.

In an interview with The Observer, co-creator Mark Gatiss says that they experienced more difficulty finding the right actor to play Dr John Watson than they had for the title character.[6] Producer Sue Vertue said, "Benedict was the only person we actually saw for [the part of] Sherlock... Once Benedict was there it was really just making sure we got the chemistry for John [Watson]—and I think you get it as soon as they come into the room, you can see that they work together".[22] Several actors auditioned for the part of Watson,[11] and Martin Freeman eventually took the role.

The series is really good and keeps you in front of every TV series . Very exciting. Individual deserves praise Benedict Cumberbatch , coped with their role .
